College Life

The past week has been packed full of fun things. I feel like I am finally starting to get the hang of college, the studying, friends, and getting out and doing things. I love it! A group of friends decided to kick off the weekend by going to St. George. It has been so cold here in Cedar we thought it would be nice to see the sun and get warmed up, and catch a SUU softball game while we were there. Needless to say, St. George was freezing as well, and our softball team lost, but it was still fun to watch Jord play, hang out, and relax.

I don't think I could make a trip down to st geezy with out stopping at swig. Its my all time favorite place ever!.. and so of course before the game we ran and got cookies and drinks. I'm telling ya if you haven't been here then you better go! It's fantastic!

This would be the crew sitting and watching the game. It turned out to be freezing cold, so we snuggled and attempted at staying warm! Jord pitched a few innings, and dominated with the bat like always. It was super fun to watch a "college" game and just enjoy being back around that kind of atmosphere!

This cute girl is Amberlee. She is going to school down at Dixie. A little background info on this is we were outfielders together when I played on Charge. We became basically inseparable at every ball tournament and hit it off as not only teammates but friends. She is from Vernal and I haven't seen her in probably 2 years, other then the occasional snap chat, Facebook post, and so on... but I was sitting at the top of the bleachers when I heard a "Mush", and I knew it had to be someone that knew me pretty well, I turned around and HOLY COW it was my long lost friend. It was fun to run into her and talk about old times, new times, and college. I don't really think it was a coincidence that we ran into each other at the ball park, just because thats where our friendship first began.
If anything I learned about softball and sports in general, other then they suck, they make your body hurt, and there totally not worth the stress that go into them.. :) is everlasting friendships are made. I am so glad I had the opportunity to play ball with those people that I did from all over everywhere and get to know a lot of people. Especially now, that me and berlee live closer to each other then we ever have and are planning on hanging out and making a lot more crazy memories. ... On another note, my mom said I looked like I was 15 in this picture... Ouch I thought I at least looked like I was 17:)

We decided after the ball game got over that we would take a trip to the temple just to walk around. It was pretty late, and Im surprised the doors weren't closed, but they must of knew some pretty "Important people" were gonna stop by. It was a great way to end our night, and kick off conference weekend.

The church is true my friends :)

We ended up getting home pretty late, but that was alright it was a much needed get away and a fun and uplifting trip! Saturday was spent watching conference, going to the football game, watching some more conference, going to the volleyball game, and being a bum! I can't really decide what session of conference I liked the most, they all were truly inspiring, and left me feeling like I could continue on for another 6 months until the next one :)

This was the first conference away from home, which was a little sad. I figured it would be a lot easier if there was a few of us watching conference together, eating some food and just enjoying it together. I was right! It was fun to be able to sit down with these friends of mine and listen to conference. It was an amazing experience to be able to enjoy the teachings with these guys, and be together as a group of friends.
Sunday morning session we had breakfast and watched it at my house, while sunday afternoon session we went to jordan and sadies and had lunch and watched it. Needless to say I worked out hard last night at the gym to work off all of the food we ate. I can no longer use the excuse of starving college student because we had enough food to probably feed the entire campus!

It was such a fun, and spiritually uplifting day. I can't believe how much I have honestly grown sense moving down to college. I figured I would grow up physically and mentally, but never realized how much growing up spiritually I would do as well. I guess this is a good thing... of course its a good thing :) I am truly happy with myself and the person I have become. I struggled through out high school with being happy with me, and now I can truly say I am. Even if I bomb a test, or struggle in a class I have more of an Eternal outlook on the whole matter, and realize everything truly does happen for a reason, and I am so grateful for the things I have had to overcome and hurdle to get me to where I am today.

Hugs and Loves my friends :) Keep on smiling life is great!!!
